VSS Company Dance

Dance competitions are about more than winning and losing. It’s about learning valuable lessons that students can use to improve as a dancer and as a person.

Some advantages you can expect as a competitive dancer are:

  • teamwork development

  • learn to accept and apply feedback

  • build resilience

  • form connections and friendships

Winston Churchill once said, “Success in not final. Failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts.”

If you have the courage to compete, you are sure to be a success in whatever you choose to do.

For students who have decided to take their dance education to the pre-professional level or the younger student who has more than average ability and interest, VSS Dance offers the option to become a competitive dancer.

If you are considering joining us for competition this season:

  • Please choose the competition class option when you register for the 24/25 season.

  • Attend the placement audition and parent/teacher meeting
